Major Highlights of the Week

Subscription Confusion
Users are experiencing unexpected charges and confusion regarding subscription renewals, leading to dissatisfaction and claims of being scammed. This issue is exacerbated by a lack of clear communication and reminders about subscription renewals.
I was charged $120 without a reminder after my free trial ended, which is insane.
Access Issues
Several users report being unable to access premium features despite having paid for subscriptions, leading to frustration and accusations of fraud. This problem is compounded by unresponsive customer support, leaving users feeling ignored.
Free Version Limitations
The app's free version is perceived as too restrictive, allowing only minimal usage before requiring a subscription, which frustrates users, especially students who cannot afford the premium version. This limitation is seen as a barrier to fully experiencing the app's capabilities.
I can only upload one PDF before it asks for money, which is frustrating as a broke student.
Language Support
The app lacks support for multiple languages, which limits its usability for non-English speakers and creates a barrier for users who need content in their native language. This issue is particularly problematic for users in multilingual regions.
The app doesn't support my language, making it hard to use for my exams.
Login and Access Problems
Users face difficulties logging into the app, with some experiencing persistent errors and inability to access their accounts, which is particularly concerning for those relying on the app for upcoming exams. This issue is causing significant disruption to their study plans.
I can't log in, and my exams are in two days, which is very frustrating.
Feature Requests
Users are requesting additional features such as text-to-speech and the ability to edit flashcards, indicating a demand for more versatile and customizable study tools. These requests highlight areas where the app could expand its functionality to better meet user needs.
Why can’t I edit flashcards? That seems like a basic feature.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

I chose the free option because I’m down right now—but only so I can rise later. Still, just because I’m not paying doesn’t mean the experience should be confusing. The quiz feature feels super robotic—so much so that it’s barely usable. Also, why can’t I edit flashcards? That seems like a basic feature.

I paid $20 for a one-month subscription a few days ago, but when I opened the app again, it showed me a page as if I hadn’t subscribed and asked me to pay again. I double-checked my wallet and email, and everything confirms that I subscribed and paid $20 on that day. This makes no sense! Their app is full of bugs, and I absolutely do NOT recommend it.

I am so thankful for Turbolearn! I’ve always been a student that retains information better when I’m able to just listen to a lecture, so being able to use AI to take notes for me helps me to pay attention while also being able to look back on the information later. The notes it takes are super detailed and outlined neatly in a way that is easy to understand.
