I reported a guy at my first dinner that was staring at my chest the whole time, and they responded by telling me that we would never be matched, ignoring my request completely.
Mismatch Issues
Users frequently experience mismatches in group composition, such as age and interests, which detracts from the intended social experience. This suggests a need for improved algorithms to ensure better compatibility among participants.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

The idea is cool to just meet random strangers for dinner. The problem is they do a horrible job pairing you with other individuals. It’s almost as if they just use age only. No other criteria. I’ve met and my groups were no where near my speed. Not saying they weren’t nice, but I couldn’t make certain cultural jokes or references. I was always the only minority in the group and at one point it was just me and another guy and 4 women. If you can do a better job matching people I can see this being better.

I wanted to try timeleft because I’ve just moved to a new city and don’t know very many people. I was paired at a table with entirely men in their 30s (I’m a 21 year old girl). They also completely ignored budget selections - I chose the cheapest option and some of the people at my table chose the most expensive one. The restaurant was out of my price range. Maybe works better for cities it’s more popular in. I think we were the only english speaking table in athens. But it’s a complete rip off… they should not pretend to be matching people if they don’t actually have enough customers to do it.

I purchased a 6 month subscription after some good initial experiences, but they recently sneakily added a new *women only* Tuesday night. So both of my previous dinners have been all men only, which defeats the entire purpose of meeting people from diverse backfield and genders. Feels like I’ve been cheated into paying $60 for a service that was changed drastically after payment.
