Major Highlights of the Week

Ad Overload
The app is inundated with intrusive ads, including full-screen and video ads, which disrupt user experience and make navigation cumbersome. Users express frustration over ads that play with sound and cannot be skipped, even in the paid version.
Chat Failures
The chat feature is unreliable, often failing to load messages or displaying blank screens, which hinders team communication. Users report having to restart the app multiple times to access chats, leading to missed important updates.
I get notifications that there is a new chat, but when I open the app, the chat window is blank.
Subscription Confusion
Users are confused and frustrated by the subscription model, where paying for ad-free access does not eliminate ads for all team members. This leads to perceptions of a 'money grab' and dissatisfaction with the value provided.
Platform Inconsistencies
There are significant discrepancies between the app's performance on different platforms, with Android users experiencing more issues than iOS users. This includes problems with loading content and accessing features, leading to a fragmented user experience.
I cannot get the team chat messages to load for the past few weeks on my Android, but my daughter with an iPhone has no issues.
Login and Access Issues
Users face persistent login problems, including errors accepting invitations and difficulties accessing team information, which disrupts their ability to use the app effectively. These issues are compounded by a lack of responsive customer support.
I can't log back in; it says no invitation found, yet I can login online without a problem.
Feature Downgrades
Recent updates have removed or restricted access to previously free features, such as viewing combined schedules, now placed behind a paywall. This has led to user dissatisfaction and perceptions of declining app value.
I'm very upset that the view all teams feature was taken away and turned into a pay-by-month feature only.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

The app has some good features to help teams communicate, but the ads are intrusive and make it unusable at times. Get rid of the ads or don’t allow ads that interrupt what I have come to TS for and it is much better experience.

I have used this app for years. I would love to give it 5 stars. If you can add the ability to add people to a chat group that has already been made, would be great. Add the ability to edit a message after it is sent. Pin chat groups so they can be found easily.

The TeamSnap app is bug ridden and poorly designed. It often asks you to sign up for a paid subscription with zero indication of what you get for that beyond the free functionality. The chat screen has trouble displaying messages (it appears blank, you must scroll messages into view).
