Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

Remind was great until it stopped sending text messages of announcements from coaches who do not have school district email addresses. Many coaches are not otherwise school employees. Now many of my athletes don't get messages because they're used to it coming as a text instead of in the Remind app, which many don't even have.

I’ve used this app previously with no issue. However, I recently discovered that the app no longer allows you to send text messages unless you are affiliated with a K-12 school. I have an event this weekend and had prescheduled text messages to be sent out tomorrow. Now, the only way those recipients will get the messages is if I can contact them all before tomorrow and ask them to download the app for push notifications.

I used to be very satisfied with the Remind app. As a teacher, this was an easy way to communicate with parents without them having my phone number. Character limits were a challenge, but I would just do multiple texts to get everything in. Most of my students' parents do not want to download the app, so their being able to receive the messages by their texts was great. Now, that is no longer free.
