Major Highlights of the Week

Subscription Confusion
Users are being charged for subscriptions they did not intend to purchase, leading to unexpected financial burdens and disputes. This issue is exacerbated by a lack of clear communication regarding subscription renewals and cancellations.
I installed this app used it once, and didn’t realize I bought the subscription.
Export Limitations
The app restricts the number of free exports, which frustrates users who feel they are being forced into a subscription to access basic functionality. This limitation is perceived as a cash grab, reducing user satisfaction.
You only get two exports, are you kidding me?
AI Tool Inconsistencies
The AI features, such as background removal and object removal, are not performing as expected, often failing to deliver the desired results. Users find these tools unreliable, which diminishes the app's value proposition.
Tried every prompt I could think of..remove the girl on the left, AI would either tell me 'sorry, I can’t do that,' or it zoomed in on the person I wanted to remove.
App Performance Issues
Frequent crashes and slow performance are hindering the editing process, causing frustration and lost work. Users with high-end devices are particularly disappointed, expecting better performance.
The program is now so incredibly slow it’s unusable.
Feature Disparity
There is a lack of feature parity across Lightricks' suite of apps, leading to user confusion and dissatisfaction. Users expect consistent functionality, such as brushes and special effects, across all platforms.
There are special effects like smoke and lightning in Motionleap but not Videoleap.
Pricing Concerns
The app's pricing model is perceived as too expensive, especially given the limited functionality of the free version. Users are considering alternatives due to the high cost of accessing premium features.
The increasing price to use the Pro features I need is no longer worth it.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

I've been using this app for years. This app CONSTANTLY freezes, glitches out, and crashes. Very disappointed, especially since they charged me $40 for one month, it's pretty pricey for not being dependable.

This App has some great features which make me want to use it, but the issue is when I get into a professional workflow, it makes me consider using it at all. There are three main issues that keep me from going to it on the regular: export options, lack of feature integration across platforms, and the need for a layering system for frames.

I am a long-time user! I have paid to use Videoleap as my go-to mobile video editing app for SEVERAL years now, and as happy as I have been with the app itself, the increasing price to use the Pro features I need is no longer worth it. The app itself is great, but I’m sad to say you’ve lost a customer unless and until you make your pricing a LOT more reasonable.
