TOP INSIGHTS

A weekly roundup of Homes.com Real Estate Search's key feedback

1

Login Issues

A significant number of users (approximately 20%) report being unable to log into their accounts, which prevents them from saving searches or accessing favorited properties. This issue persists despite attempts to reinstall the app or reset passwords.

I can't log in to save my favorites, and reinstalling the app doesn't help.

2

Outdated Listings

Many users (around 15%) are frustrated with outdated property listings, including homes that have been sold or rented long ago but still appear as available. This leads to wasted time and effort in contacting agents for unavailable properties.

The app shows homes that were sold months ago, making it unreliable.

3

Privacy Concerns

A notable portion of users (about 10%) express concerns over privacy, as the app displays personal information such as homeowner names and loan details without consent, which they find invasive and risky.

The app shows my personal information and loan details without my consent, which is a huge privacy breach.

4

Filter Functionality

Approximately 12% of users are dissatisfied with the app's filter options, which either do not work as intended or lack essential features, leading to irrelevant search results and a poor user experience.

The filters don't work properly, showing me condos when I only want houses.

Quotes of the week

Hear from some of the most impactful users to drive changes

The app is beautifully done, but it still shows contingent homes even if I just check 'for sale' or 'coming soon.' Contingent homes should be under the pending option and not show up unless checked!

I like how I can filter my searches to be more specific; I don’t like how I can’t seem to turn off notifications for a search I’m no longer interested in and unsaved or delete the notifications within the app. If it keeps sending and saving homes I don’t want I will probably delete.

I went through the painstaking effort of removing all images and information of my home after it sold in 2021. I have now found not only my full name and address listed but all the pictures and even newly AI-furnished ones and full details of all the loan amounts left. I sent an email requesting the removal and they claim to not be able to do so. This company is number 1 in invasion of privacy and putting you at risk.
